Baku / 24.02.20 / Turan: At the first session of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of the sixth convocation held on February 24, elections were held for the chair of this body.
On a non-alternative basis, Vasif Talibov was elected to this post for the sixth time in a row.
The elections to the 45-seat parliament of the NAR were held on February 9 in the absence of political competition. As a result, all elected deputies are supporters of Talybov - the absolute ruler of the region since 1995. –06D—

The Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Ceyhun Bayramov and Ararat Mirzoyan, held talks in Almaty on May 10-11. The Seventh International Music Festival "Harybulbul" opened in Shusha on May 11. The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
