What are the statistics of coronavirus infected in regions of Azerbaijan?
Baku/10.04.20/Turan: Despite the daily data on those infected with coronavirus, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers and other departments do not report information on the infected in the regions of Azerbaijan. Only once on April 3 on the official website such statistics for April 1 were published.
At that time, there were 359 infected people in the country. Most cases - 146 (40.2%) were recorded in Baku. At the same time, the Yasamal district was in the lead - 27 cases.
Ninety eight infected (26.4%) - arrived from abroad. Then followed the areas of the southern region: Lankaran (18), Jalilabad (15), Salyan (12).
In Absheron region and the city of Sumgait, 11 and 9 cases were recorded, respectively.
Another nine cases were recorded in the north of the country - in the Gusar region.
In Tovuz (western part of the country), 5 cases were recorded, in Neftchal - 4 cases.
In another 18 districts, 1 to 3 infected were recorded.
At that time, the only geographical region where there was no infection was the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. However, a few days later, NAR authorities recognized 18 cases of infection. There were also no infections in large cities of the country - Ganja, Mingachevir (both the western region), Shirvan.
At a press conference on April 8, representatives of the General Staff stated that there are no so-called red zones in Azerbaijan where there is an outbreak of the epidemic. At the same time, a large number of infected in Baku was explained by the population density in the capital. —06D-
