Zakir Hasanov - Interior Troops Builder and Fighter of "color revolutions"
New Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov was born June 6, 1959 in Astara. He is a graduate of the Baku Higher Combined-Arms Command School. He served in Germany from 1980 to 1985. In the years from 1985 to 1993, he was Altai military commissariat of the Siberian Military District. From 1993 to 2003 as Directorate of Border Troops of Azerbaijan, rose to be head of the Office of International Relations.
January 17, 2003 he was appointed Deputy Minister of the Interior, the commander of the Interior Troops. Hasanov has played a significant role in the formation of Interior Troops, using this structure to suppress mass protests and unrest in the country. In an interview with Russian weekly Military- Industrial Courier, Hasanov said that BB would definitely stop any actions by destructive elements, whether riots or other violations of the law, color revolutions will not be in Azerbaijan.
According to him, in recent years, funding from the state budget of the Interior Troops has grown by 40 percent annually. The troops, at the international level, have modern facilities in communication, weapons and heavy equipment. Particular attention paid to equipment and training of Special Forces. The object of pride of Hasanov is the training center for Interior Troops fighters 'Gala', built and operated in close cooperation with the Turkish Gendarmerie.
Regarding participation in a future war in Karabakh, Hasanov said that Azerbaijan will attack, so more time is spent on combat training.
In order to better military maneuvers, allocated territory in Baku has conditions similar to Karabakh.
"Opportunities for the Interior Troops are huge, but because of the war we are able to solve a number of important tasks. Special Forces are always ready to give effective support to an advancing army. In addition, our motorized shelves can carry the commandant's service from the rear of the attacking army, maintain public order, and protect important public facilities," said Hasanov . -02D-

On November 15, the Baku Appeals Court heard the complaint filed by Ulvi Hasanli, the director of the Abzas Mediapublication, against Baku's pre-trial detention center -1 detention facility and the Penitentiary Service. The complaint concerns poor conditions of detention, inhumane treatment, and restrictions on Hasanli’s rights while in custody. Representatives from both institutions failed to appear in court.
