Ali Insanov believes they want to kill him
The jailed former Health Minister Ali Insanov, published through a lawyer his attitude to the information on media about the plans of the authorities to physically eliminate him.
Such information was in the on-line television program "Azerbaijani hour".
In particular, a source said that the elimination of Insanov is scheduled after European games. This should happen during hospitalization at the hospital of the Justice Ministry. They plan to kill Insanov with the help of the convicted to life imprisonment. In this context, the ex-minister said that his removal was prepared even in 2014.
"But I'm not afraid of these threats and will not cease to fight this regime," said Insanov.
Insanov was arrested in October 2005 on charges of attempting a coup d'etat, but was sentenced to 11 years for economic crimes.
Human rights activists have recognized his as a political prisoners, and the European Court of Human Rights found a violation of Insanov’s rights. However, authorities have not released him, held a repeated trial which upheld the previous sentence. -03B-
