Another policeman refused to testify on Ismayilli trial
The trial of the Ismayilli unrest in January 2013 continued in the Sheki Court of Grave Crimes today. As the regional correspondent of Turan reported, a witness, police officer from Ismayilli Faraj Azizov recanted preliminary investigation.
He said that he did not see any of the accused during the protests in Ismayilli. However, based on the preliminary investigation, Azizov saw how the head of the movement REAL Ilgar Mammadov and deputy chairman of Musavat Tofig Yagublu incited people to riot .
Today, at the trial Azizov said he did not read the testimony and signed the text he had been given.
Despite many questions from the judge and the prosecutor, Azizov did not give evidence against the accused.
Afterwards spoke five civilian victims, including the Chirag hotel staff, whose cars and other property were destroyed during the riots . However, they stated that they have no claims against the defendants.
In the afternoon, the trial will continue.
Earlier, two other police witnesses refused to testify investigators that Yagublu and Mammadov incited people to unlawful acts.
Recall that in the dock are 18 people, including the head of the movement REAL Ilgar Mammadov and the deputy chairman of Musavat Tofig Yagublu . They are accused of organizing or participating in riots in Ismayilli on 23-24 January 2013. -06D-
