Baku / 16.10.20 / Turan: The head of the Azel.Tv online publication Afgan Sadigov, who is held in Baku Detention Center No. 1, sent a statement to the media, expressing support for the Azerbaijani army and a desire to participate in the war in Karabakh.
“All other prisoners are unanimous with me. All of us, forgetting about all the problems and disagreements, should rise to the liberation of our native territories,” Sadigov said.
A. Sadygov was detained on May 13 and the Binagadi court arrested him for 4 months on charges of extortion through threats. According to the investigation, Sadigov was detained together with the editor of Xəbərfakt.az, Sakit Muradov, red-handed while receiving a bribe of 10 thousand manats. Moreover, Muradov was not taken into custody.
A. Sadygov is known for his scandalous publications, in which it was alleged that some officials were involved in corruption and crime. The Union for Freedom of Political Prisoners declared A. Sadigov a political prisoner. –06D-
