At the trial in the Nardaran case the accused said their concluding statements.
The leader of the movement "Muslim unity" Thale Bagirzade continued his story about how he himself and supporters were tortured and mutilated by the police. "We were tortured in order to break us, but they could not. The bandit department is the face of the Azerbaijani authorities," he said.
"Before my arrest I lived with the idea of reforms, but now I live with the ideas of the Revolution," Bagirzade said. He called on President Ilham Aliyev not to rely on the security forces, because even in "bandit department" bad words are said about his family.
The speakers Calal Babakishizade, Iqbal Ismayilov, Farhad Balayev and Ramin Yaryev also declared tortures in the "bandit department", unfairness in courts, calling to condemn them for life, "in order not to separate from Bagirzade". The next hearing will take place on 18 Janyary.-06D--
