Authorities lift restrictions on the use of private cars during the European games
Baku Mayor's Office lifted the previously introduced a ban on the use of private cars during the European games (12-28 June.) The talk is about a system of passes, which must be issued by the citizens living along the major streets of the capital. For all other car owners, driving through the city at that time was prohibited.
The Mayor's Office also reported that the parking of cars during the European Games and in places of sporting events is permitted only in designated areas. All violators will be fined.
The reason for these changes is not reported. However, it is clear that many sports fans will not be able just to get to the stadium without their cars, so the event will be held without spectators. -02D-
