Believers will be able to donate blood to Ashura in various places
Baku / 11.09.18 / Turan: The Ministry of Health announced the addresses of donor points, where believers will be able to donate blood to Ashura (September 20). According to the same source, this can be done in 24 locations, in Baku and in the regions of the country. Temporary posts will be placed almost in all mosques in the capital, as well as in a number of hospitals and polyclinics in Baku.
In addition, donor blood can be taken in the Imamzade complex in Ganja; as well as the mosques of Lankaran; Mingechevir; Sumgayit; Sheki; Shirvan, Barda, Bilyasuvara; Khachmaz, Masalli and hospitals of major cities of the country. The donated blood will be sent to the Central Blood Bank and checked for diseases.
The tradition of donating blood was suggested a few year go, as an alternative to the bloody ritual of self-flagellation by chains and daggers. The donated blood will be used to treat patients. -02D-
