Bicycle Race Created Long Traffic Jams
Tour de Azerbaijan, which took place on 8 May, created traffic jams in the capital and in Absheron.
The biggest traffic jams were on the Airport road, where thousands of cars waited for 30 minutes each in a jam. The forced stops occurred at least three times and each time they waited for 20-30 minutes.
As always, the city authorities had not warned people about these issues.
Cyclists were moving from the Absheron coast to the capital center. The race completed in Azadlig Square.
The race was won by Schwarzmann from Germany. -02-
