Body of Azeri Oilman Found off Coast of Turkmenistan
The body of another Azerbaijani oilman, who died in the accident and fire on the oilfield Guneshli on December 4, has been found off the coast of Turkmenistan. This is stated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkmenistan.
"In order to establish the identity of the victim and deliver the body to Azerbaijan, the Emergencies Ministry has sent an amphibious aircraft with the investigation team to Turkmenistan," the statement says.
Recall that on December 4, 2015 a fire broke out on the offshore platform No 10 in the Guneshli oilfield. Due to the heavy storm off the platform, only half of the 64 people being there were saved.
Later 14 bodies were found, while 16 others got missing.
The same day, three oilmen in the field Oil Rocks were also thrown into the sea by the storm. They also died. -02D-
