Hot weather without precipitation will be observed in Baku and Absheron in the next 2-3 days. On Thursday night the air temperature will be + 21 + 25, while the daytime temperature will be + 30 + 34, weather forecasters said.
The sea water temperature at the Northern Absheron beaches will be from + 19 + 20 in Sumgait, Novkhani, Pirshaghi, Nardaran, Bilgah and Zagulba to + 21 + 22 in Buzovna, Mardakan and Shuvalan. In South Absheron it will be +23 + 24 in Turkan, Hovsan, Sahil and Shikhovo.
High temperature is expected in regions of the country. In low-lying areas the mercury thermometer will reach + 33 + 38, and in mountainous areas it will be + 22 + 27 degrees. -06D--

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
