Consideration of the appeal of theologian Thale Bagirzade has been postponed indefinitely due to an appeal against the decision of the Baku Court of Appeal to deny the appeal, Turan was told by the lawyer Bagirzade Javad Javadli.
Now the consideration in Baku Court of Appeal case is postponed until the Supreme Court decision on appeal of the theologian.
Bagirzade was arrested on March 31, 2012, on charges of drug possession. On October 31, Sabunchu District Court sentenced him to two years of imprisonment. Bagirzade believes that he is being persecuted for preaching and protecting the rights of believers.-16D-
