Customs seized more than 900 kg of drugs over 10 months of 2022
Baku/22.11.22/Turan: The Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC) has revealed 64 cases of drugs smuggling and removed 905 kg of drugs from circulation over 10 months of the current year. The SCC reports on the facts.
Note that heavy drugs such as heroin and methamphetamine made up 92.6% of total amount of seized drugs, 458 and 379 kg respectively.
Also, 57 kg of opium, 5 kg of hashish, 2 kg of marijuana, 260 kg of cocaine and others were seized.
Appropriate actions were taken against 66 suspects, including 21 citizens of Azerbaijan, as well as 25 citizens of Iran, 10 citizens of Turkey, 7 citizens of the Russian Federation, 1 each of Kazakhstan, Maldives and Pakistan.-05DO6-
