Demolition of houses in the former Sovietskya Street continues
Demolition of houses in the vast area from the building of the Drama theater to the former Sovietskaya Street actively continues. A green zones will continue to the Huseyn Javid Avenue. However, the demolition is accompanied by a problem with the provision of housing for owners of small apartments. Their owners do not agree with the compensation of 40-50 thousand manats (1500 manats per sq. m.)
Another problem was the demolition of several buildings of historical and architectural value. The government has not yet announced the project on improvement of the area. According to available information, most of the territory will be landscaped, and will be partly built up by high-rise residential buildings, and transformed into a zone of leisure and entertainment.
The future of highways leading to the mountainous part of the capital remains unclear. Thus, it is unclear how and where they will be connected to the Narimanov and Javid Avenues. -02В-
