From now on drug treatment in Azerbaijan will be forced. This decision was adopted at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis after making changes to the law "On protection of public health."
Under the amendments, people suffering from drug addiction, and do not commit crimes, but causing moral and material harm to their loved ones, negatively affecting the education of children, repeatedly refusing voluntary treatment will be compulsorily treated for drug addiction. Currently such treatment in Azerbaijan was voluntary.
