During the first six months trafficking and offenses on the roads increased, the MIA

In the first half of 2016 in the country were  fixed  14,251 crimes, said Vilayat Eyvazov,  First Deputy Interior Minister of Azerbaijan at the session of the Ministry of Interior  on the results of the first six months of the year.

85.2% of crimes by nature do not represent a great social danger, and  crime detection rate was 84.4%.

Eyvazov also noted the preservation of the dynamics of reduction as a result of "preventive measures"  of crimes against the person. So the number of premeditated murders decreased by 5.2%, rape - 16.7%, car theft -. 13%, hooliganism -. 6.4%, accident - 13.4%.

The number of deaths in road accidents decreased by 25.3%, injured on the - 13.2%.

Together with prosecutors in hot pursuit were  disclosed 581 crimes,  by 24.4% more than last year; 141 criminal groups were made harmless, which committed 611 grave and especially grave crimes. During the reporting period were confiscated 609 kg of drugs.

In the first half of the year were  revealed 93 crimes of human trafficking,  by  16.2% more than last year. Also, by  25% (or 1,402,254 facts) increased administrative violations in the field of traffic.

For darkened car windows  were punished 2,404 officials and 6,574 drunk drivers were  prosecuted; 183  people violating  traffic were punished. -16D-
