Editors Invited to Ramiz Mehdiyev Blackmailed Government Officials on Their Children
The arrested journalists-racketeers in the last 10 years were engaged in illegal activities, the head of the State Security Service (SSS) Madat Guliyev told the media today.
According to him, the editors of the newspapers Gundelik Baki and Bizim Dovr, Surkhay Aliyev and Habil Veliyev conducted illegal video shooting of children of high-ranking officials. Then they used the video to blackmail and extort money. In this regard, SSS has opened a criminal case and it will be given a legal assessment.
Guliyev also said four operations were carried out in recent years, during which "spies and other criminals were wiped out". At the same time, the SSS officers stopped armed resistance by members of criminal groups.
According to him, SSS operates in conjunction with the secret services of other countries, to exchange information.
Over the past year after the dissolution of the National Security Ministry, more than 500 people were dismissed from the security services. With respect to 20 of them criminal cases were initiated. "This is a natural process. The Service is in the process of purification," Guliyev said.
Note that Meydan TV has published photos, testifying to the participation of two senior editors arrested by SSS, Surkhay Aliyev and Habil Veliyev, at a meeting with the Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev in August 2014.
The question remains who invited the leaders of these odious publications to the Presidential Administration after the Press Council included these papers in the "black list". -03B06--
