Eight People Detained on Charges of Shooting Deaths in Zagatala
Eight people have been detained in connection with an armed incident in Zagatala on November 24, in which three people were killed.
The General Public Prosecutor and MIA issues a joint statement in which the detainees are identified as: Samir Osmanov, Bahruz Lahijov and his brothers Eldaniz and Vugar, Vusal Aligayev, Parviz Garayev, Aydin Sailov and Omar Orujov.
In the village of Yuhkary Tala, the driver of a VAZ-07 fired at a Hyundai Elantra, killing Kamil Huseynov, a resident of the Balakan region, Baku residents Vasif Jafarov and Vugar Radjabov. Vusal Aligayev, another resident of the Balakan region was wounded and hospitalized.
The investigation determined that Samir Osmanov fired the machine gun. Osmanov allegedly fired the shots in retaliation to being stabbed by the passengers of the Hyundai.
At the home of one of the detainees, various weapons were found, including German-made grenades, a radio station, a rocket launcher, more than 800 cartridges of ammunition, as well as about 8 kg of drugs.
A criminal case was filed under article 228.1 (illegal possession of firearms) and 120.2.7 (deliberate murder). -16D04-
