Faig Amirov’s Health Condition Grave - Lawyer
“The state of the arrested CFO of the Azadlig newspaper in recent days has worsened,” his wife Lala Amirli wrote on her Facebook page.
“During a recent telephone conversation he said that the sharp stomach pains resumed," she writes.
Agil Laidzhev the lawyer, in turn, told Turan that the ulcer of Faig Amirov worsened with the onset of autumn, and the absence of a normal diet and treatment worsened his condition.
“The lack of proper treatment and care exacerbates the disease,” he said.
The lawyer also noted that the investigation has not yet returned Amirov’s car, despite repeated requests. The car was confiscated after allegedly extremist books were found in it.
The documents in the case are being prepared for submission to the European Court of Human Rights, said the lawyer.
Recall that the assistant head of the PFPA and Chief Financial Officer of the newspaper Azadlig Faig Amirov was arrested on 20 August and presented ludicrous charges of propagating the ideas of Fethullah Gulen in Azerbaijan. However, after the arrest the authorities have forgotten about Gulen and Amirov was interrogated about the sources of funding of the newspaper Azadlig. Similarly, all the staff of the newspaper is called and questioned how the newspaper survives, whereas the authorities managed to completely block its funding. -05B-
