Five Oilmen Injured in Accident in Caspian Sea
Baku / 29.06.17 / Turan: Five oilmen were injured on June 28 as a result of an emergency. They were hospitalized with various bodily injuries, SOCAR (the state oil company of Azerbaijan) reported on June 28.
According to the press release, on June 28, around 13.50, the boat Arya 141 of Azerbaijan Caspian Marine Shipping CJSC with employees of the Department of Geophysics and Geology, conducting seismic operations on the site of the N. Narimanov oil and gas producing department (OGPD), lost control and collided with the base of Site No. 34. As a result, five of the seven people aboard were seriously injured. They were urgently hospitalized in City Hospital No. 1.
The causes of the incident are being investigated, SOCAR notes.
