Fuad Ahmadli is placed in solitary confinement
A young activist of the Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Ahmadli was imprisoned in solitary confinement in the Kurdakhani jail, wrote on facebook Asabali Mustfaev, a lawyer, who met with his client on Monday. "On Saturday, Fuad again was placed in a solitary confinement. The reason for this became the fact that Fuad warmed up his food in the cell, and the smell spread. All cells have electric heating for the food, but it became a problem only in the cell of Fuad Ahmadli. Despite the fact that the food was common, and all prisoners it warned it, only Ahmadli was called a guilty," wrote the lawyer.
Fuad was told that he will be punished for three days, and the term of arrest will expire on 7 February. However, they want to keep him until the 8th of February," Mustafayev noted, recalling that this is the second conclusion of Ahmadli in solitary confinement during a month.
"keeping in a confinment cell is dangerous, because he isnot dressed warm. In addition, poor quality of food is also harmfulfor health. Despite the unlawful arres, they set a new punishment," says the lawyer.
* PFPA activist Fuad Ahmadli was arrested on August 18, 2016 on charges of violating the law on operational and investigative activities and abuse of office. In a joint statement, Prosecutor General's Office and the State Security Service Ahmadli, working as an operator in the "Call Center" LLC "Azərfon", was accused of transferring classified information to individuals.
Ahmadli was named as the person connected to the network of the theologian Fatullah Gulen, who is accused of preparing a coup in Turkey.
