Gezal Bayramly Announces Pressure on Her in Jail
Baku / 30.04.18 / Turan: The Deputy Chairman of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Gezal Bayramly was subjected to pressure in Kurdakhany Pretrial Detention Center No. 1, her relatives reported.
On April 28, Bayramly was taken from the Ganja detention center to Kurdakhany No. 1. There she was asked to write a petition asking for pardon. After she refused, Bayramly was put in a cold room and kept for 10 hours without food or water. After that, she was transferred to a female prison.
Bayramly asked to convey that she keeps cheerful spirits and no pressure will make her retreat.
The head of the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service Mehman Sadigov denied allegations of pressure on Bayramly, calling them "unfounded". -06B-
