Girl Died from Rabies in Sumgait
Baku / 23.08.17 / Turan: The Department of Public Health of the city of Sumgait conducted an investigation into the case of deaths from rabies. According to the results of the investigation, doctors who are guilty of improper treatment have been punished, the Ministry of Health said.
So, a strict reprimand was handed over to resident physician Mahal Mammadov, a staff member of the Children's Traumatology Department of the Sumgait Emergency Medical Hospital. This doctor did not notify Children's Polyclinic No. 1 that, on oral request of the parents, the child was released home before the due date and no control was established over the sick child.
The reprimand was also issued to the head of the hospital department Maharat Hasayev.
Recall that five-year-old Zeynab Mikailzadeh was taken to the emergency department on July 31 after she was bitten by a dog. She received the appropriate injections, and she spent four days in the hospital. When she felt better, her parents asked to release the girl from the hospital and took her home.
On August 14, the parents applied to the children's traumatology department in connection with the girl"s malaise and fever. On August 17, the girl died in this hospital from rabies. -05D-
