Guler Ahmadova Fainted in Court
The Baku Court of Grave Crimes chaired by Alisultan Osmanov continued the trial of former MP, Guler Ahmadova, today. The lawyer for the defense was expected to speak, but at the beginning of the hearing, Ahmadova's state of health deteriorated and she lost consciousness. Judicial officers took her out of the room and called an ambulance. After this, the meeting was adjourned to November 25.
Recall that the prosecutor asked the court to sentence Ahmadova to 4 years in prison, convicting her on two articles of the Criminal Code: 178.3.2 (embezzlement on a large scale by deceiving the trust) and 307.1 (failure to report on a serious or grave crime). -16/06D-
