Head of Masalli Executive Power Wants to Sue Reporter
The head of the executive power of the Masalli region Rafil Huseynov filed a lawsuit against the journalist of www.canubnews.com Miralam Hashimov.
The reason for this was the publication of photographs showing the discontent of local residents that a local ATM of Capital Bank did not have enough money for pensions.
The journalist took a picture of a group of disgruntled citizens and published it. He did not publish any comments, the lawyer Javad Javadov said.
However, the chief executive sued him for libel (Article 147 of the Criminal Code).
"From the claim it is not clear what Huseynov sees as defamation and on what basis he has filed a lawsuit," said the lawyer.
He recalled that the chief executive had also sued Hashimov in a civil manner before. -05B-
