Heydar Aliyev Presented Most Expensive Gift to Lyudmila Zykina
Baku / 14.03.18 / Turan: The most valuable gift of the famous Soviet singer Lyudmila Zykina in the 1970s was made by the President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. It was a necklace made in white and yellow gold, out of 127 natural diamonds. The price is 400 thousand dollars.
This was reported by the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, publishing a list of the singer's jewelry collection.
After the death of the 80-year-old singer in 2009, her collection caused a split between the heirs - the three nephews of the singer and her assistant Tatyana Svinkova, who took the collection to herself. Later, the police seized it and gave the jewels to Zykina's nephew, Sergei Zykin. But the man put the jewelry on the auction in 2012. All the lots were bought for 32 million rubles by a mysterious admirer of the singer on the phone. On the complaint of her relatives, the results of the auction were canceled, and the jewelry was returned to Sergei Zykin. But then the nephew disappeared. The criminal case of Zykina"s diamonds was closed after the expiration of the statute of limitations.
At the request of the KP, the jeweler Alexander Khomov appreciated certain ornaments from the collection, which had previously been put up for auction. Among them, at number 7, there is a necklace donated by Heydar Aliyev.
It is known that Zykina visited Azerbaijan more than once, when Heydar Aliyev headed the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. In what year the gift was presented to Zykina is not reported. However, this could happen between 1993 and 2003. -02D-
