Baku / 19.07.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan can not define how many lawyers are there for 10 thousand people. The Head of staff of the Bar Association, Farhad Najafov, said that for every 10 thousand people there are 11 or 15 lawyers. Earlier the number of lawyers was less than 1000 people, and from July 2018 their number increased to 1500 people.
Chairman of the Bar Association, Anar Bagirov, said on July 19 that there are 15 lawyers in the country for 10 thousand people. However, in May of this year Bagirov said that there are only one lawyer per 10,000 people, and this is the lowest figure in Europe. -05B-
