“We hope that in the coming days a pardon decree will be signed,” the human rights activist Novella Jafaroglu told Turan.
According to her, a week ago, the Joint Working Group sent a list of people and the related documents to the Commission on Pardons.
"We hope that the head of state, having the powers of pardon, will take into account the efforts of the human rights defenders," she said.
She did not explain for what reason the appeal was made at the very moment. Probably, the human rights activists are hoping that the European Games are a good reason for such an appeal. -05B04-
