Interior Ministry reports the arrest of the extremist group members in the region of Terter
A resident of Tartar region appealed to the Interior Ministry, said that his minor son joined the radical religious sects and was sent to Syria to participate in hostilities. The police made the proper operation and revealed the presence in the Tartar region organized criminal extremist group that promotes sending young people to illegal armed groups operating outside of Azerbaijan, the press service of the Ministry of Interior.
As a result of operational measures, four members of this group were detained: Zulfugar Ibragimov, Mubariz Mirzaliyev, Shamseddin Abdullazade, and Vugar Aliyev. During a search of their homes have been found: automatic with two shops, 800 grams of explosives, nine hand grenades, 170 rounds of ammunition, banned religious literature and CDs. A lawsuit was filed, and investigation is ongoing.
In turn, the chairman of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) Akif Nagi said Turan, that Zulfugar Ibragimov and Vugar Aliyev are not members of an extremist religious sect, they were both members of the KLO. Nagi believes their arrest is unfounded and sent the appropriate treatment to the Prosecutor General and the Interior Ministry.
Nagi believes that Ibrahimov and Aliyev have been victims of some intrigue or victims of visible struggle against extremism that want to demonstrate the law enforcement agencies. -05D04-
