Jeyhun Nabi's Fate Remains Unclear
Baku / 25.10.18 / Turan: For the second day, there is no information about the fate of the activist of the Classic Popular Front Party (CPFPA), Jeyhun Nabi. He was detained in Shamkir, where he arrived after a three-month stay in Russia, on October 23.
As the activists father Sardar Nabiyev reported, today he went to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where his son is allegedly contained. However, in this department no information was given to him.
Relatives also called on the "102" hotline of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but also received no response. They are going to attract a lawyer, as well as prepare appeals to the Ombudsman and the Ministry of Interior.
Nabi, after a three-month stay in the Russian Federation on October 23, arrived in Shamkir, where he lives. A few hours later he went out to meet friends. Later, friends told his relatives that Nabi was detained.
Nabi is known for his work on the history of the Azerbaijani People"s Republic, he is the author of Face to Face with the Soviets, as well as harsh criticism of the Azerbaijani authorities on Facebook. -05D06-
