Master’s degree and doctoral students will go to army after the completion of education
Henceforth in Azerbaijan master's degree and doctoral students together with the students of full-time undergraduate departments of universities will go to army after the completion of education. This is provided by amendments by the Parliament in the law "On Military Duty and Military Service." This rule will also be applied to the Azerbaijani students studying abroad. -06D--

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
