MoD urged the media not to reveal military secrets

The Ministry of Defense requested the media , the public and social networks with an appeal, not to reveal military secrets, said the Defense Ministry press service. It noted that many reports about the army and the military theme reveal military secrets, specifying deployment of units, names of commanders and personnel changes.

In addition, in October last year a Facebook page in the name of General Zakir Hasanov was opened, having no relation to the Defense Minister.

Despite numerous appeals from the Defense Ministry , the media ignored appeals not to reveal military secrets that allow the enemy intelligence to freely obtain the necessary information, the statement says.

"The Defense Ministry once again urges the media and social network users not to reveal numbers of military units, where they are deployed, and their mission . They must not allow the publication of the names of the officers, their positions, ranks and move on positions," the statement says. -16D-
