More Poachers Come from Arab Countries
Baku / 01.10.18 / Turan: The Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan is increasingly informing about the detention and punishment of poachers for illegal hunting, among which there are a significant number of people from Arab countries.
So, during September, several foreigners were detained during the raids in the Bilasuvar, Saatli, Siyazan, Jalilabad and Shamakhi districts of the country. They are citizens of Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. About a dozen rifles were seized from them, and they were fined 2,000-3,000 manats each for hunting without permission (license).
In total, for illegal hunting in the past three months, 35 people were detained in Azerbaijan. They were confiscated 29 rifles and cartridges. The total amount of the fines imposed exceeded 40,000 manats.
Note that for hunting, it is necessary to obtain a license for a certain kind of game in a certain place. -16D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
