Number of Pilgrims to Hajj from Azerbaijan Halved
The trip of Azerbaijani pilgrims to Hajj in Saudi Arabia will start from September 2, a source in the Caucasian Muslims Office told Turan.
Every day, from 2 to 4 September two air flights will carry 350 pilgrims to Hajj. The total number of Azerbaijani pilgrims will be 1,050 this year. The flights will start daily at 08.00 and 18.30.
Accommodation and meals during Hajj in 4-bed hotel rooms will cost the pilgrims 4,500 dollars. In 6-bed rooms it will cost 3,500 USD.
In the past year there were 2,300 pilgrims from Azerbaijan. The reason for reducing the number of pilgrims is the economic crisis.
