One-third of crimes in Azerbaijan is against property
On Saturday took place a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Interior for crimes against property and family and domestic violence.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Emin Shekinsky said that in the first five months of 2015 were disclosed 50 thefts, 6 robberies, two fraud, five robberies and others crimes; 152 wanted cars were arrested, and 174 crimes were disclosed. The number of protected sites has increased by 165, and apartments - 354. In 191 objects were prevented thefts, and 78 people were arrested.
In connection with the crimes against property in 2014 and for five months of 2015 were identified and arrested 657 groups consisting of 1810 people. In particular, the 85 groups with 251 people who committed burglary.
Over this period were revealed 7986 crimes were disclosed, 4581 were brought to justice, 1292 wanted people were detained. A group of citizens of Azerbaijan and Georgia which committed 103 thefts in Baku and Absheron peninsula were detained.
The head of the public security department Javanshir Mammadov said that in the past year and a half , 54.2% of murders and attempted murders and 70.4% of crimes of harming the health were committed on family ground.
The Interior Minister Ramil Usubov touched the upcoming European Games, urging his subordinates to ensure high security of events in conjunction with other law enforcement organs.-06D-
