Pashazadeh reports Karekin about a meeting with Armenian POW
The spiritual leader of Azerbaijan, Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazade, sent a letter to the Armenian Catholicos, His Holiness, Karekin II about the results of the meeting with the Armenian POW, Akob Injigulyan, according to the press service of Pashazade, without specifying the details of the letter.
A source in the Caucasian Muslims Department, told Turan, that the message to Karekin was " a return to a diplomatic step" because the Armenian spiritual leader had appealed to Sheikh Pashzade in writing.
Sheikh Pashazade visited Injigulyan at the request of His Holiness Karekin II. The Sheikh visited the prisoner together with the head of the Orthodox, Catholic and Jewish faiths of the country on November 1.
So far, Sheikh Pashazade has never visited the Azerbaijani political prisoners, despite numerous appeals on this issue.
Injigulyan voluntarily moved to Azerbaijan on August 8. He explained his actions by harassment of officers. In Azerbaijan, he asked to be sent to a third country, which caused protests in Armenia, where it is believed that the statement was made under pressure. -02D/05-
