Official newspapers write about the meetings of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Azadlig publishes an article entitled What Does Baku Forum of Formers Give Azerbaijan? It assesses the IV Global Forum that started in Baku. The author believes that the official Baku is not interested in the global integration, and for this reason, any positive result should not be expected from the Forum.
The Forum is attended by mostly former political leaders who gathered to hang out. "We can say with confidence that the event is purely indicative in nature. The authorities want to show that Azerbaijan can solve global problems. In reality, Azerbaijan has remained aloof from the multi-polar world, the author believes.
The Yeni Musavat leads comments from MP Fazil Mustafa on the bill to waive the European Court decisions, which has been submitted by his colleague Raphael Jabrailov.
Fazil Mustafa says the adoption of such a law may complicate Azerbaijan's relations with the West. With regard to Russia, sanctions have been imposed on it for ignoring international decisions. This position is contrary to international norms. If Azerbaijan does this, it will aggravate its position and can lead to termination of its cooperation with international institutions.
Fazil Mustafa said he would vote against the adoption of such a law, if it is tabled in the Parliament.
The Echo cites the opinion of the economist Nariman Agayev, who believes that the decline in exports will lead to economic collapse. "Our market is Russia. Currently, demand for Azerbaijani products has decreased significantly. Important role in this was played by the exchange rate change. We should look for a new market," says the expert.
The Bizim Yol writes about the changes in the Criminal Procedure Code, under which advocacy can be only dealt with by a member of the Bar Association.
Lawyers believe that the legal defense is monopolized. The Chairman of the Bar Azer Tagiyev thus creates a "market" for himself.
The lawyer Gurban Mammadov considers that this is a gross violation of both the rights of citizens and the Constitution, and Aslan Ismayilov says the authorities want to leave people without legal defense.

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal.
