The website Azadliqinfo.az published an article entitled Abnormal Attitude Towards Normal. The author believes that the authorities still cannot understand the essence of the reforms, which they themselves announced. Reforms do not mean raising wages by 3-4 manat and issuing orders and decrees without real results.
Personnel policy does not mean also massive layoffs, as it is currently happening in the Ministry of Taxes. In this regard, the author quotes the statement of Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov regarding the change of government, ministers and officials of ministries. He draws parallels with Europe and Georgia, which is inappropriate, since the situation in Azerbaijan is quite different.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes about the perspective of problem loans.
The expert Akram Hasanov claims that this topic will be relevant for at least three more years. The government can take the difference in the US dollar exchange rate, although there are no guarantees.
On January 23, the Supreme Court should express its attitude to this issue. The collector's practice will be also put an end, the article says.
The newspaper Novoye Vremya published an article on low incomes of citizens against the background of rising food prices. Surprisingly, prices for chicken eggs rise, although their production is growing.
Milk production has also increased, but all dairy products also rise in price.
Independent economists and business representatives say that the main reason for the rise in food prices is monopoly, as well as the growth of the burden on business.
