Resident of Nakhchivan Complains of Pressure on His Daughter and Son-in-law in Local Interior Ministry
A resident of Nakhchivan Nouraddin Bayramov reported about pressure exerted on his daughter, a breastfeeding mother, in the law enforcement bodies of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
In an interview with Turan, he said that on June 3, his daughter Saria Gambarova visited the Supreme Majlis of NAR, but from there she was taken to the Interior Ministry of NAR and held until 23.00. Gambarova had gone to the Supreme Majlis to get answers to her telegrams in connection with the dismissal of her husband Ulvi Gambarov from work.
"Ulvi Gambarov was in military service with the rank of warrant officer for 12 years. In December 2015 the commander forced him to write a letter of resignation because of his failure to fulfill the orders," said Bayramov.
Gambarova is partially paid maternity leave and the family lives on the 26 manats she receives.
"Due to the difficult financial situation, as a member of the party New Azerbaijan, she sent telegrams to the head of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Vasif Talibov, who is also the head of the regional organization of the party.
The morning of June 3, she went to the Supreme Majlis, having not received any answer to her telegrams. But from there she was taken to the Interior Ministry. At 14:00 her husband Ulvi Gambarov was also taken there and held until 23.00 and all the time their baby remained without supervision," said Bayramov.
The spouses were taken a receipt of their return to the Ministry of Internal Affairs at 11:00 on 4 June and threatened to banish from Nakhchivan, if they take in head to complain, said Nouraddin Bayramov.
We have failed to get a comment on the matter at the Interior Ministry of Nakhchivan. -05B-
