Rustam Ibrahimbeyov is unhappy with distortion of his interview with the Russian magazine

Playwright Rustam Ibrahimbeyov sent to the editor edition of "New Time" letter of objection to the publication of his interview in a distorted form.

"I cannot express my sorrow over such a free interpretation of the text of my interview. As a result of severe cuts and uncoordinated with me editorial interference lost the general meaning of what I said in an interview with Olga Galitzkaya  distorted specific statements available to me essential.

I respect your magazine and I am surprised that  for  technical reasons related, according to the Managing Editor, with the reduction of overall numbers could lead to such a distortion of the author's intentions. I earnestly request not to publish the interview in such a way," reads the opy of theltterid in the address to the editor, a copy of which the playwright passed Turan.

In particular, Ibrahimbeyov expressed dissatisfaction with the reduction of the following section:

"Armenia captured Nagorno-Karabakh, in my opinion, committed a crime, not only against the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples - a huge number of people were killed, hundreds of thousands have been thrown out of their homes in both countries - the consequences of this aggression is a threat to all humanity.

One shot by Gavrila Princip resulted in the First World War. With the current state of the world  any attempt to revise the borders by force are fraught with the loss of entire countries. This is a mistake, a tragic mistake."

Despite the urgent requests of the playwright, the editors did not consider it necessary to take into account the opinion of the Ibrahimbekov.
