Showers and Mudslides Damage Western Region
Torrential rains caused floods and mudslides in several western regions of Azerbaijan in the past few days. Thus, the most serious damage was suffered in the Gadabay, Tovuz and Dashkesan districts.
According to the MOE and local executive authorities, the disaster destroyed several bridges and toppled utility poles. Mudslides carried away dozens of head of cattle. One person is missing. Residential buildings and commercial facilities are damaged.
MOE is taking measures to eliminate the consequences of the disaster and count the damage.
According to weather forecasts, rainfall will continue in the country's western region on June 19. -02D-
