The Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders is concerned about the continued detention of Leyla Yunus
The International Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders condemned the decision to extend the arrest of human rights activist Leyla Yunus for another five months. In a statement of the organization reads that they should expect prolonged arrest and her husband Arif. The International Observatory calls on the authorities "to put an end to inhuman treatment with spouses Yunus, and their immediate release."
The International Observatory was established in 1997 by the International Organization Against Torture, together with the International Federation of Human Rights Defenders. -16D—
