The practice of a deposit for the car entry into the country will be canceled
The practice of the deposit for foreign citizens entering Azerbaijan will be eliminated, said Abulfaz Garayev at a press conference on Thursday, dedicated to the future shopping festival in Baku. "Foreigners entering Azerbaijan on their cars will be registered only without any deposit." In the near future, this issue will be resolved," he said. The Minister added that at the meeting of the Tourism Council it was decided to create a working group, which, among other problems, will also deal with this.
Azerbaijan applies the deposit rules from August 15, 2014 for cars that do not have a certificate of the Euro 4 standard. On such cars it is possible to enter the country only if the driver leaves the guarantee amount - up to 40% of the cost of the vehicle. This money is returned when leaving Azerbaijan. -71D-
