The visit of Ayatollah Hamadani is over
The visit to Azerbaijan Iranian Ayatollah Nuri Hamadani, who during four days, visited a number of cities of Azerbaijan, held meetings with the faithful. During the meeting with Sheikh Pashazade on September 1 Hamadani noted that Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan, and wished him a speedy liberation from occupation.
Pashazade, in turn, noted that this is the first visit of such a high religious figure in Azerbaijan.
Hamadani also noted that the priority of the Islamic world is the unity of Muslims. On 2 September Hamadani visited the city of Shamakhi, where he attended the mosque "Juma", the oldest in the South Caucasus and the Middle East; it was built in the year 743. This mosque has been completely destroyed during the earthquake in 1859 and 1902. On the same day Hamadani visited Ganja, the mosque "Shah Abbas" and complex "Imamzade" and the mausoleum of Nizami. -05D04-
