Training courses at vocational schools finish
Training courses in the framework of “Skills for the World of Work” project of the vocational education organized by Azercell Telecom LLC and the British Council have finished. 36 teachers from various vocational schools in Baku specialized in ICT and Telecommunication took part in the courses starting from December last year. 16 teachers successfully completing the training courses attended the training event conducted by expert Kemal Ahson from Great Britain. The teachers gained knowledge about new and effective teaching techniques, coaching the students to improve their employment chances, important role of employers in vocational education and exchange of knowledge and skills in the field.
The project also envisioned training course for students. The aim was to increase employment opportunities of the students. It brought together 120 students of IT and Telecommunication specialties at the vocational education institutions located in Baku. The students got fundamental knowledge in economics and business and gained personal and professional skills, such as ways of career development, achievement, communication, corporation, problem-solving etc. Successful students will also get a chance to take internship with the support of Azercell Telecom LLC.
We would like to note that Azercell Telecom continuously implements projects aimed for youth development. Under the Student Bursary program of the company, capable youth studying at Azerbaijani universities get a great opportunity to receive special bursary from Azercell and take internship at various divisions of the company. Besides, many projects conducted by the company are related to education. Azercell cooperates with the leading universities and helps to improve their material and technical bases. With the initiative and support of the company, first 4G laboratory was established at Qafqaz University. Azercell will continue to prioritize supporting the education and the youth in its activities.

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
