Baku / 09.09.17 / Turan: The trial in the case of journalist Aziz Orujov begins.The preparatory session on the journalist's case is scheduled for September 27 at the Baku Grave Crimes Court, chaired by Judge Mirza Khankishiyev.This was announced by attorney ElchinSadygov.The defense considers criminal prosecution unfounded and intends to seek the termination of the case on justifiable grounds.Orujov was arrested on May 2, administratively for 30 days on charges of disobeying the police. At the end of this period, he was charged under the Articles 192.2.2 (illegal business with the extraction of large income) and 308.2 (abuse of official powers, which entailed grave consequences) of the Criminal Code.The case against Orujov was separated from a general case against dozens of NGOs, started as early as in the spring of 2014.The journalist rejected accusations.
