University "Caucasus" will be the Oil School
A private university "Caucasus" has been liquidated today, and was transferred to the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), announced vice-president of the State Oil Company SOCAR Khalig Mammadov. On his Facebook page, he wrote that the International Centre for Education transferred the university "Caucasus" to BHOS. University students will continue their studies, and teachers their jobs, says Mammadov.
It should be noted that today the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan has reported that "the founder" of the university informed about the termination of his activities since 20 July.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Education did not explain who is the founder of the University, and why the university was closed. The Ministry has not clarified what will happen to the thousands of students and teachers. Instead, the vice-president of the oil company gave explanation on the fate of the university and its staff and students.
No one can explain what is the relation of SOCAR Education Center and Mammadov to the resolution of questions about the fate of the universities in the country. The university "Caucasus" belonged to the structures of Fatullah Gulen, and the decision to close the university could be given only by the Azerbaijani authorities. -02D-

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
