A group of unknown individuals threatened the well-known lawyer, human rights defender and a civil activist Samira Agayeva. The incident occurred at around 22:30 near Agayeva’s home. The car with two people in the car Jeep brand followed her from the bus stop to the house. When she went into the yard, the car abruptly drove it, but Agayeva managed to bounce and ran into the entrance. "It was dark, and I did not see the number. I got up, looked from the balcony.
The people in the car waited for five minutes, then left," Agayeva wrote on her page on Facebook.
She regarded it as an attempt to intimidate her. In an interview with Turan, she said that the threat is likely related to her human rights and political activity (Agayeva is also deputy chairman of the D18 Movement) as protection in the courts.
Asking the question whether the human rights activist will complain to the police, she replied that she did not notice the number of the car, and around her yard there are no cameras.-06D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
