Veterinary Service Warns of Bradsot Threat
Baku / 13.09.18 / Turan: The State Veterinary Service (SVS) of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan appealed to farmers in connection with the threat of spreading of the bradsot disease among the animals.
As reported by Turan, citing the SVS press service, in order to prevent the disease, pastures and water sources should be under veterinary and sanitary control.
In case the disease has occurred, it is necessary to change the place of keeping the infected animal. Sick cattle cannot graze on wet pastures or be fed with grasses that cause bloating. In addition, animals must be vaccinated. This has to be done at the expense of the owners of farms with the participation of veterinarians.
Bradsot is an acute, polybacterial, toxicoinfectious disease that can lead to the loss of livestock. The sheep are the most sensitive to the disease, regardless of sex and age. In rare cases, the disease can also kill goats. Bradsot is possible in all seasons of the year, and most of all in the spring and autumn months.-03B06-
